WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT: MYSTIC
Perhaps Connecticut’s most well-known travel destination, Mystic has made a name for itself in regards to dining, shopping and historic attractions. Summer is when Mystic really comes alive, with tourists flocking to downtown to catch the century-old drawbridge do its thing over the Mystic River before they enjoy a meal outside at one of our town’s highly-regarded restaurants. Ice cream at dusk is a must, and thankfully Mystic is chock-full of post-dinner options.

Locals love Mystic for its food scene and access to water activities like kayaking, boating and stand-up paddle boarding. The Mystic Irish Parade draws a rowdy crowd in March and the town’s Blessing of the Fleet tradition brings the community together every summer in honor of its unique maritime history. With Mystic Seaport, the Aquarium and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center all within miles of each other, there’s no shortage of family-friendly activities or places to entertain out-of-town guests.
Mystic is the place to live if you love to eat out on the town. Widely recognized as a premium dining destination, Mystic’s restaurants have been featured in national publications for their creative use of hyper-local ingredients and fresh-as-it-gets seafood sourced right here. We’re particularly partial to SIFT Bake Shop and Oyster Club.
Live here if you love: Coastal charm, a lively pulse, acclaimed restaurants.
